Within each of us resides the power to heal ourselves and our communities. Healing wisdom is in every cell of our bodies; it is inherent and innate, and available to everyone, no matter their background or circumstances.
The Regenerative Health model was developed by Dr. Stephanie Mines as a response to meeting the devastating health consequences of the climate crisis, particularly for vulnerable populations. Those consequences now include the impacts of the COVID pandemic and escalating rates of anxiety, depression, and suicide, including amongst youth.
Western medicine fails to fully grasp the intrinsic link between our health and the health of our planet, and as such has been unable to keep up with this crisis. But we have the power to change this at the grassroots level, resourcing ourselves to become the center of our own healthcare.
This MA/PhD program aims to collate regenerative and sustainable resources, including indigenous medicines that are transferable, with permission, to others. This includes touch therapies, healing songs and stories, and related traditional, innovative healing arts.
Following your immersion in Regenerative Health for A Climate Changing World with Dr. Mines and her team, you will transfer to Ubiquity University to create your own unique and well-researched contribution to this field at the level of MA/PhD, gaining the highest academic recognition that society bestows.
In this MA/PhD program you will:
- Discover what healthcare empowerment means for individuals by addressing the shortfalls of Western medicine, and then exploring the practice of healing in community through lived experience.
- Develop the resources of cultural sensitivity, boundary setting, self-care, self-regulation, assessment, and the organizational skills of healing in community.
- Discern how memory is encoded somatically at the prenatal stage, and learn ways to retrieve this memory.
- Learn trauma-informed practices and understand the important difference between shock and trauma.
- Learn how to implement cultures of care and self-care.
- Deepen your practice of healing modalities that include healing through song and storytelling, writing, and Qigong/Daoist cosmology.
- Learn resonance facilitation, a practice that synthesizes Taoist psychology, energy work, qigong movement, expressive arts and a modern practice called Feelingwork.
- Learn the powerful healing methods of the TARA approach.
- Gain an understanding of prenatal and perinatal psychology.
- Learn about empowerment-based healthcare.
