Summer Trilogy 2021: Relationships in a Regenerating World
As in 2020, we want to offer our community a Summer of integrated courses that build on one another to inform and transform our lives. One of the effects of COVID is that it has shattered the most fundamental of our social norms. We are social beings and we have been forced into lockdown and social distancing. Simultaneously the world of politics, especially in the US, has spun out of control as Trump has created a whole new parallel universe of victimhood and anger.
The single most important quality we can cultivate in this atmosphere is that of coherence — within ourselves and in our communities. We must build relationships that can endure an increasingly chaotic world. Nothing is more important than the coherence of relationships – and yet we are in a time in which relationships are being challenged and reinvented in unprecedented ways. Join us for a sacred pilgrimage from Chartres to South India and back that will enlarge the capacity of our hearts to love and embrace the other in new forms.

We will explore the sacred history of Chartres and the Liberal Arts, and rework the second liberal art of Dialectica within the cultural foment of our time when the very meaning of male and female is re-forming itself in our lives. As always, there will be rituals, dreams, embodiment, lectures, discussion, and a virtual walking of the crypt and labyrinth.

We will join Andrew Harvey, whose birthplace is South India, and guests in a virtual pilgrimage to the Tantric temples of South India and an exploration of the ancient temples built in deep antiquity to the mystery of tantra and the wisdom of the divine human. Andrew has a rare understanding of the ancient wisdom of South India, where tantra is the wellspring of mystical awareness and the entryway to the dance of the gods and goddesses.
