Learn Ancestral Medicine and Practices with Indigenous Elders

Dear Ubiquity Learners,

Protocolo Q is a Mexican-based organisation that recognises the vital role of bridging Indigenous practices with modern Western therapies for individual and collective healing.

Working with elders from lineages such as Mazatec and Wixárika, each month Protocolo Q will hold an online masterclass and retreat themed around a particular Indigenous practice.

Each masterclass will introduce the scientific-therapeutic and indigenous-ancestral components of the entheogenic medicines and practices, and will be held by Protcolo Q founder Oscar Iván O’Farrill Cobo and an Indigenous elder. Oscar is a Neuropsychologist and Educator in Integrative Therapies who is deeply committed to working with these elders to share authentic teachings and practices. His work was recently featured in this recent LA Times article.

Following the masterclass, students will have the opportunity to experience direct ceremonial transmissions through the elders at their retreat, including preparation circles before and integration circles after the retreat.

Upcoming Masterclasses and retreats:

Foundations of Entheogenic Therapy (Masterclass) and Journey to the Centre of the Self (Retreat), December 10th and and January 21st-25th

Wixárika Cosmology & the Path of Hikuri (Peyote)- Masterclass and Retreat, December 17th and February 18-22nd

Moon Dance: Feminine Renewal and Collective Prayer– Masterclass and Retreat, January 14th and March 23rd-29th

Further masterclasses and retreats are being added, and the schedule will repeat after the first cycle. Students are welcome to join the masterclasses without participating in the retreat, but are required to take part in the masterclasses if they are attending the corresponding retreat.

If pursuing a certificate, students will need to complete 5 webinars and retreats in total.

By experiencing the teachings and transmissions in this way, students are able to prepare both mentally and spiritually for the full experience, and gain insights into sacred lineages as taught by the indigenous elders themselves.

Protocol Q will also host free community calls each month that will introduce people to the lineages and practices that will be explored in upcoming retreats. Recordings will be available. They’re a great way to get a sense of the program and practices and all are welcome.

We’re excited to collaborate on this first-of-its-kind program.

Join the free community call on December 8th
