Veda Austin is a water researcher, public speaker, artist, author, and mother who has spent the past 14 years exploring water’s structural memory and responsiveness. She has pioneered a unique crystallographic method that visually captures water’s reactions to stimuli, revealing its awareness of thought, intention, and creation through imagery.
Veda believes that water is fluid intelligence, observing itself through every living organism on the planet and in the universe. Her primary focus is photographing water in its ‘state of creation’—the space between liquid and ice—where it expresses a profound and dynamic language. Through her research, public talks, and published works, she challenges conventional perspectives, inspiring a deeper understanding of water as an intelligent and communicative force.
Veda is the author of The Living Language of Water, the culmination of decades worth of her research into the properties of water as it interacts with consciousness, intention, images, music, art and more.
She is also the author of The Secret Intelligence of Water: Macroscopic Evidence of Water Responding to Human Consciousness, exploring macroscopic photography techniques and Veda’s own groundbreaking technique for recording the language of water.
Veda frequently takes her teachings to the classroom, with the aim to reconnect children to the living water systems inside and outside of their bodies, believing that the 'tamariki' (children) are the water bearers of the future.
She is a frequent contributor to podcasts and journals worldwide, where she shares her inspiring findings and perspectives.
She is the lead faculty on Ubiquity’s 2025 Chartres Pilgrimage, on the theme of Geometrica.
